Mistletoe's Story...
Cute x a billion = Mistletoe!

Little fatty fat Mistletoe was wondering what happened, when she woke up fat, homesless, dirty and in the county dog pound at 9 years old. WHAT? A darling little princess like her? How could this be, but we in rescue know this happens all too often.

Mistletoe is quiet, super sweet and friendly and waddles from dog bed to softer dog bed in her foster home, enjoying life out of the joint (pound) so to speak. She is a wonderful little girl with so much love to give and tail wags to shower on her forever home. Let's make sure this next home is her last, a true forever home, commitment phobes move along, nothing to see here, this girl is holding out for the real deal.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mistletoe, a Phoenix Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
