Buffy's Story...
Buffy is an 8 yr. old Shih Tzu who weighs 17 lbs. She came into rescue from a breeding kennel, and is enjoying her foster home. She likes to follow her fursiblings around or go for walks and car rides. Due to neglect in her past, Buffy's vision and hearing have been compromised. She recently had some teeth removed as well. In spite of this, she is a sweet girl who likes to stay close to her human and enjoys sitting on someone's lap to be petted. Buffy would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another pup to pal around with. Her foster mom says she is a very quiet baby who deserves a wonderful home with a person who understands her past. Buffy the Shih Tzu is fostering in Indiana. Please visit our website for more information, photos and our on-line adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buffy, a Dayton Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
