My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WE ARE THE BRONTE SISTERS!.........Except we aren’t sisters and our names aren’t Emily and Charlotte! Just wanted to get your attention. We have quite a story, one that will touch your heart, we think.

First, introductions: I am Baby, the gray and white cat. I am the quiet one, but you know, still waters run deep. That’s what I say. I am spayed and a gentle soul. I am rather shy (I can’t believe I am writing this! I don’t like to draw attention to myself…..), but I do like to ‘hang out’ with my peeps if there is not a lot of chaos going on. I am called Baby because the nice lady who adopted me thinks of me as her ‘baby,’ and I sleep at the foot of her bed every night. I am a quiet person’s dream cat; Emily Dickinson would have loved me! (Did I mention I am also very literate?)

Then there is Daisy—the one who meows, talks all the time, loves to let you know what she wants. She is the direct opposite of me; she could be called a ‘character.’ She is spayed, too (the sign of a responsible owner! We admire that in a person; we really do!), loves attention and lets you know about it. She is a blast! The nice lady saw her being tortured by neighborhood kids and rescued her! Brave and kind woman, don’t you think? There ARE good people in this world.

We have never been outside cats, so we need a home where the ‘inside’ is our ‘outside.’ We are very well behaved.

Here’s the greatest part: WE LIKE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For some of you this may be just the ticket. You know, our vet says sometimes cats make the best playmates for dogs. Wanna try and see? Of course, it has to be the right dog; that goes without saying.

But the kind lady’s husband is growing more and more allergic, and she will not push us outdoors (again, she has a wonderful heart), so here we at Ahimsa. We need someone FAST. We came from a loving home and want to go to another one. We get along like sisters. Could you find it in your heart to take us both?

So! In summary (don’t I sound like an intellectual cat? Not to brag, of course)—we are spayed, we get along well with each other, people and dogs; we desperately want to be wanted. Please come. Soon.
