My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet, lovable Zacky! He's a 2 year old, brown brindle, Pit Bull mix. Poor Zacky was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn. We will never know if he was lost or abandoned, but we do think that he was probably owned because his coat is in good condition, he's at a healthy weight at around 55 pounds, he knows some basic commands; plus he is an absolute sweetheart! Some people think Zacky looks like a tough guy; but when his foster mom looks into his soft, brown eyes, she can only see the squishy faced mush that he really is.

Zacky was a favorite at the shelter, and it's simple to see why. Zacky is an easy going guy. You want to go for a walk? Zacky will kick his heals up and join you! How about a game of fetch? Zacky's your guy! You want to sit and relax? Zacky is the king of snuggling. While he loves cuddling close to his foster mom, and he follows her all around the house; Zacky has no problem relaxing in his crate while his foster mom works an eight hour day.

Zacky is a joy to be around. He greets men, women, and children with wiggles and wags. He will do the "lean", in hopes of getting some extra petting. He enjoys greeting other dogs. He will often go into play position. Zacky gets along very well with his 55 pound, canine foster sister. They love to snatch the toys from each other and play chase! He even enjoys greeting the stray cat we meet on our walks! Zacky is simply happy... happy to be alive. His foster mom just can't understand how this sweet boy ended up on the streets. He gives his foster mom lots of thank you kisses and he keeps her laughing with his goofy playfulness. He will make his person or family feel like they are the best thing that ever happened to him. All he wants in return is a loving lap to rest his head, a warm bed to snuggle in, maybe a game of chase for fun, and some good food wouldn't hurt either.

If you think that you would like to provide this squishy faced cutie the loving home that he deserves, please fill out an application and come meet Zacky at our next adoption day event.

Zacky is up to date with his shots, housetrained, microchipped, and neutered.
