Cocoa's Story...
COCOA IS IN FOSTER CARE, PLEASE CALL THE SHELTER TO MEET HER. Cocoa is a spayed female German Shorthaired pointer/lab mix and is about 1 /12 years old.. She is house trained and knows some of her basic commands (sit, come, lay down, no). Cocoa is quite the lover and enjoys being next to someone. She loves all toys, but squeaky toys are her favorite, rides well in the car, and gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. Her foster mom says Cocoa also loves to be talked to. Cocoa is looking for an active family as she is a high energy girl, but does calm down in the house. Her adoption fee is $40 which includes her rabies vaccination. Please call the shelter at 208-794-0944.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Meridian German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
