Ariel's Story...
Ariel is a very sweet tabby-tortoiseshell kitten, or what we call a "torbi", with beautiful golden highlights. She is playful and friendly, but very cuddly, too. She gets along well with other kitties and would love to go to a home with another kitty playmate, but would be fine as a single as long as she gets lots of attention from YOU! Ariel has a very short wish list for Santa this year, all she wants for Christmas is a forever home!

You can meet Ariel at her current foster home: Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Rd. (847-251-6750) any time during normal store hours 7 days a week.

Ariel's's estimated date of birth is 8/15/10 and her adoption fee of $135 includes: vet exam, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, Feline Leukemia test, FIV test, deworming and spaying.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
