Cash's Story...
My name is Cash and there is something very personal that I would like to share with you. You see, this is a big step for me since I am a little shy and unsure of myself right now, but I have always been told that is best to be honest. So here we go... I have a condition, and it has to do with my heart. My heart is all filled with something called love, and I have no one to share it with. The only cure is finding a wonderful family to call my own. They tell me it shouldn't be difficult- finding a cure that is- since I am such a magnificent boy, well mannered and already housebroken. I am young and handsome and just full of potential. Doctors orders are; a nice loving family with lots of love to share. Other pets would be ok as well. Plenty of TLC and adequate exercise everyday (hey I may be laid back but I am still an Australian Shepherd!) 10 months old-45lbs. My adoption fee is $160 and includes; current shots, microchip, neuter, 5 week Training Class, free veterinary exam ,1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cash, a Portland Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
