'Tis the season to name poor, unsuspecting pups after yummy treats, but really this group should be named after geniuses because that's exactly what they are.

Within an hour of arriving in rescue, these pups not only were acting like happy, content puppies who had never seen a bad day in their lives, but they taught themselves how to use puppy pee pads without any human intervention! And that's at only seven weeks old.

These pups were picked up as strays by the Mahoning County Pound. Imagine these little ones trying to fend for themselves in the snow. Geniuses or not, that's quite a feat when you only weigh seven pound and Mom is nowhere to be found.

They were scheduled for euthanasia at the pound, but luckily New Lease on Life found out about their fate in time to intervene.

Now these pups are living the good life with plenty of fun toys, comfy blankets and yummy food, but there's one thing they're missing..... You. Is your family ready to welcome them?

If you are interested in adopting, please call 330-397-8270 to schedule an appointment to meet the pups. they are currently in foster care but would be more than happy to meet you at the shelter.

All of the pups will be spayed BEFORE going home with their new family. If you are interested in one of the puppies, call to schedule an appointment to meet them. You can reserve your puppy now and take them home as soon as they're spayed, which is expected to happy in the next 2-3 weeks depending on the vet's schedule.
