I am already spayed, housetrained, and up to date with shots.
: If you have empty arms, a lap that needs to be warmed, a little extra space on your bed (under the covers) and a void in your heart that needs to be filled, do we have the perfect little Chi princess for you. Meet our lovely girl, Bria. We first spotted this little sweetie on a city shelter's website late one afternoon. In the description, it read that she was to be euthanized the next morning. One of our directors raced across town, arriving at the shelter 5 minutes late. She was able to plead her case and was allowed in. In a few short minutes, Bria was safe and sound and on her way to a foster home. She gave her new foster mom thankful kisses all the way home. Bria was fearful at first. You see, she hasn't had the best life so far. Bria and another Chi were picked up by the shelter because their owners simply let them run around loose in the neighborhood and the neighbors complained. The owners never came to rescue their girls from the shelter, once they were picked up, so Bria was left to await her fate. (The other Chi was adopted about 5 minutes before we rescued Bria.) Because she hasn't been given the kind of life every Chihuahua girl deserves so far, Bria is a little timid around strangers. We are working to help her see there are people in the world who love her and will keep her safe. We think she would do best in a very calm, adult home. Her new mom or dad will need to be patient with Bria and allow her to warm up to them at first. (Once she does this, Bria gives 100% devotion.) Bria enjoys the company of calm dogs and cats, but would also be perfectly content as an only pet. Our $175 adoption fee helps cover the cost of the medical care Bria has received: spay, shots, worming, heartworm test (which was negative) and vet exam. Bria is on monthly heartworm prevention and flea/tick control, as well. She is about 2 to 3 years old and weighs about 7 or 8 lbs. All Bria needs now is a loving, forever home where she can always feel safe and secure. **Applicants for Bria must have a verifiable history with a vet.** If you would like to adopt Miss "Bria Tortilla", please complete our online application today: www.tassieshope.org
