My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAGGIE NEEDS A FOSTER HOME
Maggie is a 2 year old fawn female with natural ears. Both Maggie and Rocco, her brother, were running at large and were picked up by animal control. Their owner was sent a letter and when she failed to pick up her dogs they were surrendered to MAGDRL. Maggie is a very sweet girl, who likes other dogs, and got along with the barn cats. However, she is not a good dog to take to a dog park because if she is challenged be another dog, she will not back down. She's a quiet girl, but enjoys a good romp in the play yard and likes to plays with a Nylabone. Maggie loves to snuggle and to be with her people. She is not a barker or a jumper, loves to lean on you, and rides well in the car. She will make a very sweet dog for someone but obedience training will be a condition of her adoption. We do not have a history on her with small children, therefore she will only be placed in a home with children ages 12+. Maggie will not be placed in a home without a fence, as she will run if given the opportunity.
Update 6/6/11 - Maggie is such a sweet girl and loves to be with people. She's had several potential adopters with dogs come and meet her but it wasn't a match. She enjoys playing in the yard with her ball or an active dog that would enjoy playing with her. Here's a video of Maggie playing with Wrinkles, who she just met.
