Annabella's Info...
| Breed: | Labrador Retriever Mix | Color: | Unknown | Age: | Young |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Female | ID#: | 3040831-Out Of The Woods |
I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Annabella has grown into a lovely young lady - slender and graceful. She is small for a labrador and is very slim in the hips like a greyhound and she can run like the wind! She only weighs about 45# and stands about 19' at the shoulder. The pictures make her look much bigger. Annabella's estimated date of birth is 5-1-10.
Annabella is shy of strangers at first. Once she gets over her initial shyness, she warms up quickly and loves attention. Annabella gets along best with other dogs who are neither alpha dogs or submissive dogs. Her pen mate is a male Carolina Dog/Bull Terrier mix who is about a year younger than Annabella. A couple of times a week, they are joined by a male Shepherd/Hound mix who is about 8 months older than Annabella. The three dogs have a fantastic time playing with each other. She does have a tendency to intimidate the submissive dogs and will challenge an alpha dog. Annabella sniffs at the cats when she meets them but otherwise pretty much ignores them. There are no children at her foster home so it is not known how she would do with small children. She probably would be fine with older children.
Annabella used a crate while she recovered from her spay surgery and she is leash trained although she likes to pull at her leash. She would settle down and do much better on her leash if she were able to be walked regularly. Annabella has had to be an outside dog at her foster home but she probably would house-train very easily once she got over her initial fear of being inside the home and she learns the potty routine.
Annabella has been spayed, is current on her vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm preventative. She also has a microchip.
Please let me know if you have any further questions...and Thanks for your interest in adopting a rescued pet.... they're the best.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
