Noodle's Story...
Noodle, Tuna and Lila were all saved from a puppy mill bust in St. Louis, Mo. late in November. There were 150 dogs taken from the facility and Noodle found his way to the shelter in Catoosa County, GA. That is where we found him. Noodle only weighs 14 lbs and he's a precious little dachsund. The vet estimates that he is about 4 years old. Little Noodle is very scared when he first meets you but within about 2 minutes he wont leave your side and wants to come into your lap and cuddle. When he's scared he practically crawls on the ground with his tail tucked until he's comfortable. He really needs to go to a home where someone can give him a lot of attention and he'd even do well in a home where he can have a best buddy with your family dog. He's doing well with housebreaking and he will have a dental before coming to his new home as well. Noodle has spent his whole life at "work" in the puppy mill and we certainly hope that he can find a wonderful forever family to spend the rest of his life with! Why Adoption is a Great Option

Noodle, a Harrisonburg Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
