My name is Sookie Sue. How do you do?
I’m a sweet 3 year old girl that got the heck out of a puppy mill, traveled across country, and found my way into a real life. WOOHOO!
Around my foster home, I'm known as a living, breathing teddy bear. I just want to snuggle, cuddle, wiggle, and give kisses. When I first arrived, I wanted to stick to my crate, even if the door was wide open. Heck I spent my whole life in a crate so I was used to it. I didn’t know any other way. Then my foster mom and dad started letting me on their human bed. Oh boy! I think I've died and gone to heaven!
Someone once told me that it looked like I swallowed a dachshund. Well, that's not what happened. Rude! But I do have a very silly long torso which makes me even more adorable. My foster calls me "Goosh", because my body is so squishy and gooshy. I could use a little help building up some muscle tone since I sat around on my rump for the past 3 years. But it shouldn't be a problem because now I love to be out and about, meeting humans and canines alike.
When I first became a rescue dog, I didn't know how to drink or eat out of a bowl or use stairs. I've mastered the bowl thing but still working on the stairs. I also don't know quite what to do with toys, but I'm slowly coming around and I think I'll eventually get the hang of them. I'm a fast learner and will do just about anything for a treat (which I will ever so gently take from your hand, thank you very much)!
I have great manners and just want to make my humans happy. If you tell me “no,” I listen. I'm also quiet as a mouse. I hardly ever bark. I'm too much of a lady for that! I also really like my feline foster sister. She's still getting used to me but I'm super interested in her. One of my favorite things to do is hang out on the couch with you while you watch tv. I also love to play out in the yard with my foster mom and dad. I even love the snow! I get so excited that I'll just start running at full speed like a freight train coming down the tracks! I can't keep it up for long, but I love the feeling of the wind in my ears!
My foster parents think I'm pretty much the perfect little girl. I really can't disagree with them about it. Want to meet me and find out for yourself?

- But I do need to build so muscle tone, so someone who will take me on walks
or play with me in a big yard would be best.
