Tyson's Story...

Greetings. I am 3 year old Tyson. I was an owner surrender and my family loved me but were afraid I was too jealous of their 2 year old daughter. I have to admit, I don’t like kids much. So I guess they were right to send me packing. I have a pretty standard bulldog frame at 54 lbs. I have been well cared for and am neutered, up-to-date on shots, and quite easy to care for.

My most unique feature is my tongue that I sling out the right side of my mouth in a most jaunty manner. I am a friendly guy and just love affection, scratches behind the ears, walks, and rides in the car. I walk well on a leash and have adjusted very quickly to living in the big city after growing up in the suburbs. If it’s not too hot I will gladly walk a half mile and I will scoot up the stairs in a flash.

While I haven’t shown aggression towards other dogs on walks or dogs I meet in passing, I have tried to spend time in a home with another dog and really prefer to be by my lonesome. I also really like my crate. It’s like my little home and I go in there on my own many times. I rarely bark; my fosters had to wait 3 days to hear one bark. But now I get it and I will bark if someone is at the door.

I have been through a training class. I even have a certificate you can frame! I could probably use some touch-ups on my skills, but I am a well-behaved boy for the most part. I can challenge my humans from time-to-time. Usually after the first few weeks of getting to know me, once I trust you, I understand that you have my best interests in mind.

Medically I am in good shape. I have a minor skin allergy that can be managed through a high quality diet and CEBR will tell you all about that.

Over and out!

Tyson

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tyson, a Park Ridge English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Park Ridge, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Park Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Park Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Park Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Park Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
