Leonard's Story...
This little tyke has so much happy energy that it is just a delight to be around him. Running back and forth on the grass, leaping through the air at imaginary mini-frisbees, Leonard just doesn't stop. He can vary his pace and will walk right beside you when you prefer the outing to be a tad more leisurely, and will look up at you regularly to take direction, regardless of how fast you both are going. Smart boy! If you are looking for a dog who will make you smile, be your little jogging partner, and all-around BFF, come meet little Leonard. We think he will fit the bill!

Act quickly to adopt Leonard. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leonard, a Berkeley Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Berkeley, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Berkeley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berkeley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berkeley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berkeley paves the way for another one to be saved.
