My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Trip because I am always under everyone's feet! I was rescued from a breeder who didn't know I was sick and when the rescue took me they found out I needed some surgery. I couldn't breath good because my nose was too short for the airway. So our wonderful vet fixed me up and now my airways are open and I am just full of energy. Since I had surgery, I was neutered too and I had a small puppy hernia that was repaired. So I am good to go all the stuff done and won't need a vet for quite awhile. I do need to continue my puppy shots as I am just 3 months old, and weigh about 5 lbs. Most of it is my long fluffy hair, but because I was matted they trimmed me up and shaved my face for surgery. I am healing nicely and never even knew i had surgery. I am a black Shih Tzu with white paws and some white on my chest and chin. I am just a fun loving puppy looking for love. My foster mom is teaching me potty skills so I am working on that for now.

My adoption fee is $350 and includes my hernia repair and I was neutered, had a puppy shot and some tlc and meds. I am good to go now, I will need a couple more puppy shots as I get older and my rabies, but for now I am pretty much caught up with my vetting. I am being fostered by Amy in Tiffin, Ohio.

I have been examined by our vet, fixed up had my puppy shot and will be current for my age at the time of adoption for my shots, dewormed and lovingly cared for. The vet techs just loved me and I played with all the other smaller dogs there. I like other dogs. If you think I might be a good fit for your family, please submit our on line application on our home page on petfinder. Our foster mom will call you to tell you more details about me and set an appointment for you to come visit me.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS--the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding areas.
