Sophie's Story...
Sophie was adopted from Meows & BowWows Animal Rescue a few years ago by a very kind lady. Unfortunately Sophie’s new mom lost her job and her apartment and could no longer take care of her beloved kitty. She was very sad and upset to have to return Sophie to us, but we assured her that we will find Sophie a wonderful new home. Sophie is a very sweet kitty. She loves to be petted and to roll over on her back. She can be a bit shy when she meets strangers, but once she gets to know you better she is very affectionate. Sophie gets along very well with other kitties. Unlike most Siamese kitties she is not very talkative. She does, however, have the beautiful clear blue eyes which are so characteristic for Siamese cats. Sophie is around 5 or 6 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Germantown Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
