Webster's Story...
I'm Webster. I'm around 6-8 yrs old and I seem to have lost my way. I know I was someone's dog and that they took pretty good care of me, but I was found as a stray and no one ever came to reclaim me! After a lengthly stay at the shelter, I came to B.A.R.C. and now I'm living the great life in my foster home. Here, there are dogs to hang out with a little kids to enjoy watching. I'm a big boy, about 80 lbs and my foster dad thinks I sort of look like a great dane. I have to admit, I am a little on the tall side. I am already neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm free. I'm also good in a crate. I love children and even let one of the volunteers' toddlers play with my tail and sit on my back. She must've thought I was a horse or something! I'm a gentle soul who enjoys being pet and given lots of attention. I probably shouldn't be placed in a home with cats who are not used to dogs...I might chase them. I also pull hard on the leash if I see something or someone that I want to play with and I don't like it much when other dogs get in my face and bark at me. As long as I can avoid confrontation, all is well. Mike and Lisa in the Jacksonville area are my foster parents and I really like it here, but would love to have a permament home just the same. Will you adopt me?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Webster, a Tallahassee Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
