Isabella's Story...
"Isabella" is an adorable kitten, about 4 months old, she is a bit shy when she first meets people. She hangs back in her kennel and is a "hidden gem" who is being ovelooked. I brought her home over the holidays and I had to go to her (she didn't come to me) and pick her up, but she quickly settled onto my lap, and she was quite the little purrball. She loves having her back petted and will respond well to a new owner with some TLC and little treats of canned food. She will soon be 'eating out of your hand' (or vice versa!) She sure would love to be in a warm, loving home soon! So, come on in and see for yourself how much fun she is!! You will fall in love with this gal! Kennel # 109.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Isabella, a El Cajon Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
