Balou's Story...
Balou is ready for his forever home! Balou has been cleared by his orthopedic surgeon to be adopted into his new home. He still needs 5 more weeks of long leash walks, no off leash but is allowed free reign in the house, even stairs. After his five weeks is over he will have no restrictions on him. He will live a full life of running, jogging and retrieving. Balou is a gorgeous young Dudley Lab. He is around 3 years old and has beautiful green eyes, a light yellow coat and a brown nose and gums. He is as friendly as can be with people and other dogs. He is an exhuberant guy that will need some guidance and training to be that perfect gentlemen Lab. He has been crated for the last 11 weeks and hasn't had much freedom and will need someone to guide him, and continue using his crate until he is fully acclimated to living indoors. He is doing fantastic with his training but is just a tad rough around the edges, which is to be expected after his long rehab. He is a real sweetheart and loving and just wants a family to give him a second chance and he will reward you with years of love and laughter. If you would like more information about Balou's personality or injury and rehab please contact your family rep for Balou's contact information

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Balou, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
