Very sweet dilute calico
Life did not start out well for Mary Elizabeth. While her birth circumstances are unknown, when she was only about a week old, she was found with her two siblings thrown to the side of the road in an old shoebox on a very hot late July day. Fire ants had attacked them and one of her siblings was already dead. Mary Elizabeth and her sister, Virginia, would have died as well had the nice lady not found them when she did. Both were very ill and in need of medical care. However, little did the two sick kittens realize how much their lives had just changed when the woman picked up and opened their shoebox. The nice lady took the kittens home, called a rescue person and soon the babies were safe and warm and receiving the medical care they needed. The next few weeks were still 'touch-and-go' while Mary Elizabeth was treated for pneumonia and bottle fed. But, this little kitten was determined to live! Even while she as so sick, she would try to play. Before long, she became stronger and stronger until she could run and play as if she had never been ill. Now, fully recovered, she is a wonderful, loving, playful kitten ready to find her forever home. While Mary Elizabeth's story started out sad, it can end with a 'happily ever after' once she has found her perfect family. Could it be yours? Mary Eizabeth has been spayed, combo tested, vaccinated and microchipped. If you are interested, please contact Lesa at 210-422-2194 or ljm429@earthlink.net. Pictures will be posted in the next day or two.
