Brooklyn's Story...
Brooklyn is a gorgeous, 3 year old boxer mix who needs an experienced dog owner. She is completely house and crate trained, has basic obedience training, and to say she is full of love is not giving her enough credit. She has a lot of personality and has stolen her foster mom's heart with her unending sweetness and goofiness. Brooklyn does not do well with cats. She does do well with dogs but has to warm up to them first and needs slow introductions. An experienced dog owner would be best for her because of this. Once she feels comfortable with them, she absolutely loves other dogs, especially ones her size or a little larger. Though she is reactive until she's acclimated to new dogs, she does need a home with at least one other one. If you're looking for a dog where you are the light of their life, Brooklyn is the one for you.

A fenced-in yard is required to adopt Brooklyn.

**OpEd does not adopt out outdoor pets.**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brooklyn, a Christiana Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Christiana, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Christiana.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Christiana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Christiana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Christiana paves the way for another one to be saved.
