BJ's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

BJ's Story...
BJ was relinquished to a central Illinois animal control by his family so he would not have to spend another winter outside. He has learned house manners VERY quickly in foster care, a testament to the intelligence of the Rottweiler breed.

He has adapted to his new surroundings in foster care amazingly well. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats in his foster home. He loves to lounge on dog beds, or the sofa when invited to do so. He is housetrained and crate trained.

BJ is beginning obedience classes so that he will be as well behaved in public as he is handsome.

His adoption fee is $275.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BJ, a DeKalb Rottweiler/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler/Golden Retriever for sale in DeKalb, or seeking a Rottweiler/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in DeKalb.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in DeKalb already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a DeKalb breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Rottweiler/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in DeKalb paves the way for another one to be saved.
