Lulu's Story...
Lulu is a courtesy listing for Charlotte Cocker Rescue~For more info contact Lynn at llively@ec.rr.com

About Lulu ~ she is a petite cocker girl weighing 19 pounds and is approximately 7 years old, I had her to the vet on Tuesday, December 21st for a check up and she is a healthy girl. She is up to date on routine vaccines, heartworm negative and is spayed. Lulu is absolutely the sweetest little girl that I could imagine fostering. I have three dogs of my own and she could care less that they are here...if they initiate play she will play, otherwise she leaves them all alone. She was about 50% housebroken when she arrived and in one week's time is now 95% housebroken with only an occasional accident. She made herself at home here in no time at all. She sleeps on one of the beds all night...does not stir and gets up with everyone in the morning. She eats very well twice a day and is in no way food/treat aggressive. I can put my hand in her bowl, take her bowl or food or treat from here with no issues. She adores everyone - young and old. She does jump on you and with time I'm sure that behavior can be stopped. Lulu is an absolute sweetheart and will warm the heart of a forever family very quickly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lulu, a Jacksonville Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
