Misty von Mermelstein's Story...
Misty von Mermelstein is an adorable 10 month old long coated German Shepherd. We guess that she is around 45 pounds and most likely won't get too much bigger, maybe up to 55 pounds. She is a little overwhelmed right now, having just arrived at our kennel. She is from the Lancaster Shelter, an area known for their dog breeders. We seem to get more long coated shepherds from there than from any other shelter. She is very mild and gentle and just wants to crawl in your lap and snuggle. Remember the long haired shepherds won't shed all over your floor because the fur stays on them until groomed. With regular grooming every few months, your life of cleaning up dog fur should be over. She is such a gem, we just can't wait to see her go off to her new home with an adoring family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Misty von Mermelstein, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
