Russo is a few years old and Petunia is a bit younger. They are both very shy. Russo came to the shelter first. He gets along with most dogs, but does not like cats. He knows a few basic commands. Petunia was rescued in the South and transported to ARF with her puppies, all of whom were adopted. Petunia was too frightened to be ready for adoption. However, she became friends with Russo and with him developed some confidence-- Russo and Petunia enjoy leash walks together.
Russo and Petunia would need to be adopted together. They would not do well in a home with small children due to their shyness. They are very loving once they feel they can trust you. Given a chance, they would be great companions for someone willing to spend the time with them to help them overcome their shyness.
