My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma, estimated to be about 4 years old, is a beautiful yellow labrador retriever that Patti, one of our directors, saved from the brink of starvation. Poor Emma had obviously just had a litter of puppies, but they were not with her. Emma was literally skin and bones when Patti saw her at the pound and decided she wanted to save Emma. Even as we warned her that it could take months to put the right amount of weight on Emma, Patti was not deterred. When we touched Emma, all we could feel were bones. It was heartbreaking. Patti provided Emma a loving home, lots to eat, and made sure that all her veterinary needs were attended to. Now, several months later, this little lady is back to where she should be, and she is well aware of the human kindness she has been shown. She is incredibly appreciative and grateful and devoted. Emma is beautifully behaved, and has all the best lab qualities. Would do best with a retired couple or a stay-at-home parent. Not a fan of crates!
