My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fostered in AZ
Hello, World! I'm Gavin, a 10 pound Bichon boy of about two who is sweet, somewhat shy, loves to walk and play – and is eager to learn and please.

Dad says I’m very cute and playful. He says I love my ball, my tug rope and my chew toys. I trot around the house with them in my mouth. Oh! and I also have this game called ‘Fetch.’ He says I’m really good at it. If he throws the ball to me I will catch it then bring it back and lay it right at his feet. Or Mom’s feet! And if neither of them is available, I just toss it for myself. Mom and Dad find that very entertaining and it makes them laugh, too.

I am housebroken, know some basic commands (Mom says I’m really good at ‘wait’ and ‘leave it’) am AMAZING on my leash and love to ride in the car (and look out the windows at the world). I also love people, big and small alike; while I’m good with younger kids they like to pick me up and carry me so I’d be a lot more comfortable with older kids. At night, I cuddle up, safe and warm, in my crate, but would love to snuggle up in the big bed with my people some day.

Dad says I’m good with smaller dogs (we have a lot of fun!) and am learning to not be afraid of big dogs. I'm still working on that! You see I’m only 10 pounds so the big ones are really big to me.

When company comes over, I put on quite a show and dance my little Bichon dance. I just LOVE company. I would also love to have my own family, maybe a (small) doggy brother or sister to play with and a person or two or three to snuggle with. In return, I will do my best to keep everyone smiling and feeling important and loved. (That will be easy for me because whoever adopts me will be my whole world.)

So if you are looking for a best friend I’m the dog for the job. And I am ready for my life’s next assignment.

Love and tailwags,
Gorgeous and Gregarious Gavin
