Big Boy~~ADOPTED 2/2011~~'s Story...
Hi my name is Bog Boy! I am a bull dog mix but my new family thinks that I am a rare Brazilian Bull Dog. I am looking for a good loving home with a big yard that I can run and play in. But I can not be just an outside dog because I have some medical issues that wont allow me to be outside in severe weather conditions. I have had a rough time in my life. I was born with defective back legs with severe arthritis problems. I was homeless for a long time and was just skin and bones when I was "rescued". The first people that rescued me had me tied up on a short leash with a small dog house. I basically ate in the same place I used the bathroom. The food I ate wasn't very good(bluck!!!). Then my owner was nice enough to give me to my new family. They took me in even though they already have three bully dogs of their own. They gave me really good food both taste wise and good for me too. They also gave me a bath and immediately took me to the vet. The vet and her staff love me and think I am so sweet. I get spoiled every time I go there. The vet said I must be about 3 to 4 years old. I was put on two types of arthritis medicine and flea treatments. Almost right away I started feeling better!!! I started playing and running in the yard. I spent a lot of time being cuddled and loved. Even though I DO NOT give kisses!! That's for girls!! I like to play tug of war with any towel she picks up. I LOVE squeaky toys too!!! I like to take walks but not too long because then my back legs start to hurt and I slow way down. I like to bark and bite the lawnmower wheels when my dad is putting it away. I also like to try to jump in the kitchen sink when mamma is doing the dishes. I think it's something with those utensils clanking together ... sounds like a squeaky toy and I want to get it!! I think mamma has video footage of it on youtube . . because she laughs and laughs. I guess she thinks its funny when a 90 LB dog tries to jump in the little kitchen sink! I am good natured. I am really good with the female dogs in my family but not with the male dog. I haven't been around a lot of children but when we go on our walks and children come up and pet me, I am just as calm as can be. I am a good dog with a lot of spirit and love. Some other things you should know about me are I am housebroken, my arthritis medicine at Rite Aid cost about $35 a month for one medication and then $64 for the other medication that lasts around six months, and I only take my medications once a day in the mornings with my food. ;-) I look forward to becoming and fun and loving addition to your family!
