Lucky's Story...
I'm Lucky,
I was a homeless puppy, out in the big scary world with no one to love or care for me. The Nashville flood swept the area and a nice couple took me in and offered me a place to stay. They gave me the freedom to come and go, as I pleased. Sometimes I would go back there and sometimes, I would just wander. One day, I wandered onto the porch of a wonderful family. I had a tag on my collar so the lady called the couple and they explained my situation. They meant well, but didn't know much about dogs. They didn't know how to help me overcome my shyness, how to teach me to walk on a leash, as well as other things.
The people all talked and agreed it would be best for me, to stay put at the dog-savy lady's house. Since I arrived there, I have flurished. I am doing things I was never able to do before. I walk on a leash, go for car ride, play with other dogs, and cuddle with people. I am so happy, she taught me how to LIVE! Now that I have come out of my shell, I am ready for a family of my very own.
Do you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, loving darling like me?
I promise, I would be forever greatful!
Wiggles and Wags,
Lucky

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Arlington Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
