Gidget's Story...
Gidget is an adorable, bouncy, happy, energetic, and loving, eight-month-old, 35-pound, female, Shar Pei/Cattle Dog-mix looking for a loving home. Gidget is very playful; she loves playing with other dogs, and gives kisses and tail wags to everyone she meets. She is also happy to hang out calmly and play with her toys. Found as a stray in Danville, Illinois, she is already crate-trained and housebroken. She is non-destructive in the home and walks nicely on leash. As with any young dog, she’s looking for a home where someone has the time and energy to train and exercise a young dog. Gidget is very healthy, spayed, up to date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits the dogs of Project Rescue Chicago. To meet and possibly adopt her, please contact info@projectrescuechicago.org or 312-623-0939.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gidget, a Chicago Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Shar Pei/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
