RIGGS's Story...

RIGGS was found 5 years ago, running the streets of Culver City in the pouring rain after either being dumped or escaping from a very neglectful home. We found him when he was a year old and placed him in what we thought was a forever home. He is a 12lb, pomeranian/spaniel/longhair chi mix. He is now 6 yrs old....and finds himself homeless once again His owner returned him after three years and didn't even bring his bed, a blanket or a single toy. We received a call from from them, telling us that "life changes" have caused them to choose to give Riggs up...because after all this time, they did not potty train him. Now, an infant is moving in, so Riggs had to go We're glad that we have Riggs back with us, to give him the love and the training he needs. Reasonably cautious at first meeting, he is quick to welcome love and affection. And in return, Riggs offers amazing hugs - yes, he loves to hug with both arms around your neck, as if to say "don't ever let me go." And once he knows you, he bestows soft gentle kisses on your face He is potty trained, but he does mark. If he were in a home where there are no dogs and just you, that might go away! BUT he does well with other dogs, is good in the car, and ready to be your furever companion. He even talks!!! This is an easy going dog whose only real requirement is love and lots of it...and someone who will take the time with him, use a belly band if necessary and not kick him to the curb when "life changes." Do not leave this baby alone during the day if you don't have another dog!!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

RIGGS, a Los Angeles Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pomeranian/Chihuahua for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Pomeranian/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pomeranian/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pomeranian/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
