Here's what the humans have to say about me:
January 7th...we are pleased to introduce to you Hershey. A beautiful 8-10 month old, 29 pound sweetheart. Hershey came to us from a kill shelter in Washington Indiana where his time with up. Poor guy arrived with covered in burrs. He has a wonderful foster mom who right away bathed him and began the task of removing the burrs. Well Hershey cleaned up rather nicely, and he has an equally beautiful personality. He is all vetted now and waiting for his new family to come meet him.
We are a rescue and thus breed and size at maturity are only guesses.
Hershey is currently being fostered in an Oak Lawn home. He is playful and wonderful with other dogs. He loves walks and does pretty well on the leash... he's not a puller, just a little curious. He is very affectionate and really enjoys being petted and sitting by your side. He gets sad sometimes when the foster mom leaves and he will cry, but he has never exhibited any seperation destructive issues. Poor buy, he first few months of life must have been rather lonely.
He hasn't had any potty accidents in the house other then a couple times he marked just after arriving after transport, and that's fairly normal. The foster mom has not see any type of aggressive behaviors towards people, other animals, toys or food. He knows his name, "sit" & "paw" and responds well to treats. No destructive chewing behavior has been seen. He is great with children and other dogs, but we don't know for sure about cats. I can't imagine with his genle disposition that cats would be a problem.
Please note that we are a foster based rescue and do not have a facility, which means all of our animals are cared for in homes of wonderful people who have volunteered their time to help save these animals and provide a home environment while they are waiting for their forever famlies to arrive.
If you would like to meet Hershey, an adoption application must first be submitted. You can go to angelsonwheelsanimalrescue.com to download an application or email sspratl@gmail.com and we will be happy to email you one.
Hershey's adoption fee is $250.00 and includes his neutering which is already done, DHLPP Vaccination plus a booster, Rabies Vaccinated, Microchipped, dewormed with Panacur and Droncit, Heart Worm and Lyme disease tested negative, treated with revolution for the prevention of fleas, mites and heartworm.
