Spot's Story...
Spot is a male, Chihuahua mix, about 1 1/2 years old, with parti eyes (blue with brown.) Spot is housebroke and good with cats. He is friendly and likes attention, but he gets a little "hyper" around kids according to the people that brought him in. Spot's elderly owner can no longer care for him, so he was surrendered to the shelter. Unfortunately, Spot has tested positive for heartworm. Treatment is available and usually cost is based on the size of the dog. Since spot is small, his treatment may be quite affordable. If you area interested in adopting and taking this cutie home, please call or stop in today. Use ID# 1-7-1. If you are interested in any of our homeless pets, please CALL IMMEDIATELY. Due to lack of staff and time to check email, we ask that you call the shelter at 574-896-5060 to insure that contact is made. Our hours are: Mon.-Sat., 10am-4pm central. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spot, a North Judson Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in North Judson, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in North Judson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Judson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Judson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Judson paves the way for another one to be saved.
