My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 05/1/2011: Rascal is a puppy trapped in the body of an 8 year old 7.2 lb boy! Just see his new video and you'll know what we mean. :) He is being fostered in Largo, FL. He had this to say:

"Rascal here! Foster mom said it was time for an update. Not only have I evolved into one of the best dogs in the house, but I am also "King of the Hunt", whether it be a bug in the house or a mouse on the back fence, I am relentless and always, always get my prey. I do continue to sit in the window when you are gone and wait for you to come home and let everyone know when you're back. I also sleep all through the night (usually under the covers next to FM). Then, when I go out in the morning, I come right back in.... back into bed to give FD kisses to let him know the day has started! Let's go, things to do, people to see! I'm excellent on walks, riding in my car seat, sunning in the yard (if I'm not hunting), or just sitting on the couch being cool while FM has her coffee. Just wanted to let you know the RIGHT home hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure it will, IS IT YOU???"

UPDATED BIO 2/12/11: Rascal is a sweet 8 year old 7.2 lb boy who is being fostered in Largo, FL. He had this to say:

Rascal here, and I'm all ready to go. Foster Mom said to tell you, she has never known a dog that is so appropriately named - for a rascal I truly am!!! My dental is done, and I STILL HAVE TEETH! Not many, but some, enough that I can eat dry food along with some wet food. FM thinks I am a 2 year old in an 8 year old body. My attitude is so young and I just love to jump and give you lovin'. I have learned to play with balls and stuffed toys. I haven't quite learned the sport of playing with the other dogs, but I really am trying, a little more everyday. I do like to be on top of things.... literally. On top of the pool box, on top of the dock box, on the back of the couch, and on the window still, so I can sit and watch for you to come home.

I'm doing better with my separation anxiety, but if you have a window in the front of the house so that I can see you coming and going, it does make me feel better. I will sit for hours and watch for you to come back to me. Another dog in the house about my size would be wonderful =) I do still like to tell you everything, i.e., I talk quite a bit as I had mentioned earlier, but once again, not enough to be really obnoxious. Not sure I know what a cat is either. Due to previously not getting along with small children, I think over 12 would be okay. And... SOMEONE HOME WITH ME ALL DAY WOULD BE EVEN BETTER. So, would love to hear from you real soon, I'm ready for my furever home xoxoxox

UPDATED BIO 1/21/2011: Rascal is an ADORABLE 8 year old 7.2 lb (corrected weight) little guy who is being fostered in Largo, FL.

"FM said it was time to give you an update now that she has learned a little more about me. The bad news, I do have a little separation anxiety and will howl for a while when you leave, but I am getting better.... so maybe no condo living for me! lol The good news, I am just a little (7.2 lb), little tyke. I love my FM and FD. I enjoy having other dogs in the house, but I'm not really sure how to play with them. It seems like I am learning, but if none are there that's okay too. I especially love FM. I was raised by a woman and still have great affection for the woman in the house, however I am also learning how to love my FD too. I am still a very young, spry little 8 yr old, very light on my feet and love going for walks and running around chasing the birds in the yard. I also do LIKE TO TALK! I'm not obnoxious about it, but will let you know how I feel about things.

I am recovering from my neuter, but I still have to have my dental! The dogtor said my remaining teeth are very bad, and I may be losing a whole lot if not all of them. So..... in a nutshell, I'm not good with children, and I'd love someone home with me all day. So.... even if I am a little challenged, FM said I am just adorable and she loves me very, very much, (as will you!). Oh yeah, I love to go under the covers when it is cold out. Keep me in your dreams <3

INITIAL BIO 1/9/2011: My name is Rascal and I am just as cute as a button! I am 8 years old, weigh 8 lbs, and am being fostered in Largo, FL.

See, I was surrendered because my very young human brothers and I were fighting over Mom's attention. Dad said he would have been glad to have given up all the kids and keep me, but nobody would take them. (hehe) Before I was at that house I belonged to a Mom and it was just the two of us. I heard something sad happened to her, and I had to find a new home. I'm hoping that UYR will be able to find me my FURever home. Well, now I'm here in Largo with a whole houseful of furbrothers and fursisters and cannot believe how much fun I am having already, who would have thought!? There is a big girl here, they call her Jackie-O and we are having a great time ! We LOVE to play. My foster mom said I have a lot of medical things to have done yet (like a nooter, dental, shots, etc), so I probably won't be ready to go home for about 2 weeks, so think about me. I'll let you know more as I settle in. Take care, RASCAL <3
