My story

PLEASE NOTE: Adoption applicants for Nike should live in San Diego or Orange counties. Nike will not be placed in a home in which she would be left all day while her person(s) went to work. She will not be placed in a home with a large-breed dog or with children under 8.

Nike is named for the Greek goddess of victory, not the shoe. She is about 18 weeks old and the cutest puppy in the world. Well, maybe we are biased but she IS cute.

Nike is a very self-confident Papillon puppy and her adopter(s) must assure us that they will continue her socialization through the typical 4-7 month fear period. Nike has just been spayed and has gotten her final round of puppy shots, so she is ready to be out in the big wide world. So far she has been outgoing with every new person and pup she meets. She is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle.

Nike has wonderfully big Papillon ears and she has just shed her baby hair and is barely starting to get her adult coat. She weighs 6 lbs. so she will not be a “purse Papillon”. This is a very intelligent breed and Nike is at the top of her class, as she is super-smart (and will outsmart you if you’re not careful). She is a natural “fetcher” and will bring you a ball or toy over and over. But she also has enough of an independent streak to amuse herself chewing on a toy.
