My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet Steve. He's a 9-year-old, 6 pound bundle of love. This little gentleman was dumped on a street corner somewhere in the Bronx. Even worse than being homeless is the fact that Steve is blind. A trip to the vet revealed that the pressure in his eyes was causing him terrible pain so his eyes needed to be removed. He came through the surgery just fine and is now comfortable and happy. Steve makes the best of every situation. Now that he has memorized his foster home he tip-toes all over the house and even knows his way around the backyard.

Steve is up to date with his shots, neutered, and microchipped. He's housebroken as long as you remember to take him out several times a day. Steve feels safer walking around in a fenced yard off-leash than he does when he's on a leash walking somewhere unknown. In other words, he's a real home body. When Steve isn't outside in the sun he likes to curl up on his favorite pillow and nap the day away. Steve is fine with other dogs, doesn't care about cats, and prefers a home without children (only because he enjoys peace and quiet). If you have it in your heart to bring a very special special-needs dog into your life please consider sweet Steve!
