Teddy's Story...
Good day! My name is Teddy, a name which perfectly personifies my nature. I’m a cordial 6-year-old Rottweiler. I am a gentle, humble, affectionate chap who has truly fallen on some hard times. When I first came to the shelter, I was instantly a favorite amongst my volunteer friends. Unfortunately, very shortly after my arrival, it was discovered that I had heartworm disease. The treatment was quite painful & lying on a cold slab of concrete didn’t help either. During this time I was not permitted to be walked, so day after day I sat in my cage, watching all the other doggies come & go. Through much TLC from the volunteers & sheer will, I survived & am now a healthy boy waiting to meet my new, forever family. I have proven to be a stoic lad with great emotional strength. Although I’m quite the lover-man, I am not fond of other animals so I must be the only furry child in the house. Please, please save me from this dreary life. Love me tender, love me sweet, never let me go. You will make my life complete and I’ll love you so.

Act quickly to adopt Teddy. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Teddy, a Huntington Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Huntington, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Huntington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntington paves the way for another one to be saved.
