Fiona's Story...
Fiona is a very timid and shy, sensitive and loving six-month-old, 35-pound, female Great Dane-mix looking for a loving home. Fiona loves people and is full of kisses and tail wags. She also enjoys the company of all the other dogs in her foster home. Fiona is very fearful at first in new situations and needs a true dog-lover to take her under their wing for training to boost her confidence. Fiona is very healthy, spayed, micro-chipped, de-wormed, and up-to-date on vaccines. To meet and possibly adopt Fiona, please contact Samantha at palsplace1@hotmail.com for an adoption application, or her foster mom Sandi with any questions at sandifitz@yahoo.com or 773-991-4004. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Pal’s Place.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fiona, a Chicago Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
