Duke's Story...
URGENT! - Please see contact info at the end of the bio. This is a courtesy posting. This dog needs a home soon.
Duke is a neutered four-year-old German Shepherd boy. He loves to play, be around people, and is very friendly. Playing fetch is his favorite thing to do, that, and to chew on bones. Unfortunately, I have to give up my baby Duke. He was a gift from an angel. No, really. My big brother who died a few years back gave him to me. Duke is the last connection that I have to my brother. Duke is as sweet as he can be. He loves to give hugs and just lay and cuddle at the best of times and worst of times. He loves to give you kisses and just give you that feeling of ''I love you, and always will be here no matter what.'' It’s like he knows and can sense my feelings. I recently moved and was just told that he can no longer be with me after Jan 30, 2011. I really want to find the best home for him. And, if at all possible, to be kept updated on him every now and then with a photo. If you are interested in adopting Duke, please call 909 706 5791 and ask for DUKE. Or you can e-mail me at: Homegurrrrrl@AOL.com (Note: there are 5 “r’s” in this e-mail addy).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Los Angeles German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
