Sadie's Story...
April 2016 - Sadie is back. Sadie was a long time resident of our shelter but found an adopter willing to give her a home in June 2015. Unfortunately, Sadie became too attached to her new owner and her new home and decided she needed to protect them from any and all intruders, even the invited ones. She developed some bad habits and became too much for the new adopter to handle. She is back at the shelter and isn't showing any of those behaviors. She is looking for a new home and someone who can work with her should her bad behavior resurface.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Nashville Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
