Layla's Story...
Hi, I'm Layla! My D.O.B. is 9/28/09. I am so lucky to be here at Mackenzie's! I just had a terrible experience out in the real world. I had an owner who did not want me and wanted the neighbors to shoot me. Thank goodness there are all kinds of wonderful people in the world to help me. I had a wonderful lady who helped me, and eventually I ended up here. I recently had a litter of 9 puppies, four of them are still here at Mackenzie's with me. My other puppies all went to great homes. I am hoping that I get a great home as well. I am probably the most loving dog you have ever met. I have been through quite a bit already in my life, but I am the most forgiving and loving dog ever! I just want to please you. Right now I am trying to learn all of my commands, and learn how to walk well on a lead. I like toys but would rather just be by you and share your company. I have never had a real home or a nice soft bed to sleep in, so if you would like to share yours with me please fill in an adoption application and come see me!

For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Layla, a Lake Odessa Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Lake Odessa, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Lake Odessa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Odessa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Odessa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Odessa paves the way for another one to be saved.
