Hi! We're Dolce and Sabrina! We are a sweet, young couple who have been in foster care for a long time, through no fault of our own. You see, most people just want to adopt a single bunny. They think a bonded pair of bunnies would be too much trouble. But really, we are no more trouble than a single bunny! We use the same litter box, and live in the same pen. Best of all, we keep each other company so you never have to worry about us being lonely when you are away at work!
Sabrina is a sleek, black Havana girl who was found running loose in a back yard when she was very small, then was taken to a shelter, which was a very frightening experience for her. She was very shy when she came into foster care, but with a loving fosterer and having Dolce in her life, she has gotten much more relaxed and happy. With a loving adopter she would really bloom!
Sabrina weighs about 3.5 pounds and is just a little bundle of cuteness! She is curious about everything new around her, loves playing in her cardboard box, and likes to do construction projects' by making new doors and windows in her boxes. When she comes out of her shell she has such a fun personality!
Dolce came into the shelter with a whole bunch of his brothers and sisters. He is an active little guy who is very interested in toys and exploring .Dolce is curious about everything! He loves Sabrina very much and encourages her to be more outgoing.
We would be ok with well-mannered cats, but we'd prefer not to be with dogs. The best home for us would be with quiet adults. We would like an experienced bunny person but an enthusiastic first time bunny person would be wonderful, too. Mainly we just want a lot of love!
How about it? Wouldn't you like to give us the forever home we have been dreaming of?
And now, a message from Huntsville Friends of Rabbits:
For more information on our group please go to: www.huntsvillefriendsofrabbits.com
The adoption fee is $50 which helps defray the considerable costs of spay/neuter, other veterinary expenses, food, and equipment. All of our rabbits have received a full vet check up and are spayed/neutered. We adopt only to indoor homes, and prefer adult-only homes. We do not adopt rabbits as pets for children. We consider homes with older children, dogs or ferrets on a case-by-case basis.
If you are over 21 and have the time, energy, love and financial resources to care for a rabbit (not to mention a good sense of humor!) we would be happy to talk to you about adopting one of our fabulous foster bunnies! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and tell us a little about yourself, including why you would like a bunny and your previous experience with rabbits (if any). Please include your phone number so we may call you about the adoption.
Please note we are a little picky – we love these bunnies and since they have already been through the shelter once we want to make sure they have a great home the second time around! We do screen applicants carefully, as well as require a home visit. We adopt only within a day's drive of Huntsville, AL.
