Lance is a gentle, sweet boy, approximately 4 years old, but his previous owners didn't take care of him. He had heartworm and was treated on January 31st. He is now ready for a new home! We took Lance to the eye specialist on March 7th and found out that he has PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy). He is blind in his left eye and might eventually be totally blind. There is no cure for this disease. That said, Lance is a wonderful, loving dog and will be a great companion for the right people. A quiet home with no children would be best.
Note: We are an all volunteer organization and will not respond to brief e-mail requests for more information about a dog. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out and submit our
online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
Also, a minimum 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification.
