***I'm older and it will take a while for someone to want to adopt me, ASK ABOUT FOSTERING ME!! I will need a foster home for about 2 months***

Amos was adopted to a loving home but they are very sad to realize that they are allergic to him. They have nothing but wonderful things to say about Amos and are very upset about having to part with such a wonderful dog.

Amos is a sweet, independent little dog. He comes for attention when he needs it but isn’t overly needy or demanding. He gets along well with other dogs, cats and respectful children. He is currently being fostered in and apartment in Toronto and doesn’t mind the hustle and bustle of city life. He is fine in the apartment but his foster mom notes he is relatively active even for an older dog so he’d probably love a fenced yard to play in. He also lives pleasantly with a cat.

From his foster mom: Amos is a sweet little guy; I crate him when I am at work and he is fine. He doesn’t bark much and is really more like a cat – clean and quiet and sleeps on the back of the couch. I’ve also noticed he’s taken over the cat’s perch on the window ledge, not sure how he got up there! He is independent but very lovable when he wants attention. He is surprisingly active for a little guy and he doesn’t mind the snow but when it’s too cold we play ball up and down the carpeted steps and he loves it. He loves the off leash park but cannot be off leash unless it’s fully fenced – he doesn’t come when called (at least not at this point). He gets along with all the people and animals he meets.

Amos is great for a family/person looking for a dog that is past the busy puppy stage, he is trained, clean, quiet, has basic manners and is low maintenance. He is older so a little less active but still has enough spunk to make sure you get out for your daily walk!

What do we want in an adopter for Amos? A more mature but still active house hold, Children who like to play fetch would be great too.

If you are interested in being considered to adopt a pet please submit a 4 Legged Love Adoption Application. An application must be submitted before an appointment can be made to meet/adopt a pet.
