Andy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Andy's Story...
Andy is an amazingly handsome Australian Shepherd blend who is just over 2 years old.

Aussie shepherds are hugely popular dogs because of their high intelligence, loyalty, devotion o children, and plain ole’ simply good looks!

Andy is house trained and knows all of his basic commands. He comes when he is called and is quite a love-bug.

Andy loves attention and would thrive with an active family that can give him a lot of time and love.

Andy is great with other dogs and with farm animals, too – he has all the good traits of an Aussie shepherd – he is a great family buddy or ranch dog! Andy would make a great companion for your other dog, too -- he loves other dogs and gets lonely by himself.

He is neutered, up to date on all of his shots, and is ready for his forever home.

To meet Andy (and our other adoptable critters), please email dsollohub@ffres.com or call 858-391-1037.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andy, a Poway Australian Shepherd/Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Akita for sale in Poway, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Akita dog from a breeder in Poway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Poway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Poway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Akita breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Poway paves the way for another one to be saved.
