Emma's Story...
Emma is a sweet small 12 lbs schnauzer girl. She weights about 12 lbs and is grey and white in color. Emma loves to cuddle and snuggle up to take a nap with you. She has natural ears and docked tail. She was rescued from the dog auction, and will have love and freedom the rest of her life with some lucky family. She is doing excellent on her potty skills, she walks on a leash, plays with toys and her foster schn sibling Niki. She also plays and sleeps with 2 visiting boxers. .

Emma 's adoption fee is $295 and includes a dental and all of our vetting below.. Emma is being fostered by Christina and her family in Lakewood Ohio area. Emma is a young about 6 y.o. little girl. Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them or potty pad train and work on potty skills. When your application is approved, you will speak with the foster Mom for more information and you can check then at what point each foster dog is at. Dogs learn quickly and most are pretty far along or trained  by the time of adoption.

Emma has been examined by our vet, had a 5/1 annual shot, a rabies shot and tag dewormed, heart worm tested and passed. Spayed or Neutered before adoption. Our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives in season. We also do a dental if our vet deems it necessary which is included in our adoption fee. Our adoption fee covers all vetting expenses and a small donation to cover the dogs food and care.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS--the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding areas.  Please make sure you are willing to drive to pick up the dog within 2 weeks if approved, and check the distance to the foster home per the location above.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a North Benton Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in North Benton, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in North Benton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Benton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Benton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Benton paves the way for another one to be saved.
