found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.
I’m looking for a home for our foster dog, Copper. On December 31st, we took him in because his family was leaving the country and needed to find a home for him or he’d go to the SPCA.
Copper is a 3 year old male Red Australian Cattle Dog, Yellow Labrador mix. He weighed 50.2 lbs as of 12/13/2010. He lived on a ranch and was a 50/50 indoor/outdoor dog. He hadn't had much training so we’ve been working with him. He now sits readily, waits patiently for his food, stays out of the kitchen, & no longer begs for food. Copper is clearly an intelligent dog, but hadn't received the attention he deserves. His breeding is active & high-energy so he will do great in a home where he can get lots of exercise.
He loves other dogs & is great friends with our 18 month old female German Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He is completely housetrained and is even okay with cats. He nibbles (lovingly) on our cat now, but I would suggest a dog-savvy cat. We are working on crate training and Copper is learning to relax in his crate when no one is home. He always wants to be by your side as you run around the house or curled up next to you when you relax. He plays well with other dogs and is a bit on the submissive side so would appreciate a kind and gentle forever home.
Copper is up to date on his shots and shouldn’t need another vet visit until December 2013. He’s neutered and microchipped.
