Mauna Kea's Story...
Aloha, friends! My name is Mauna Kea, which means "white mountain" in Hawaiian. I am a playful, loving pup who was found wandering Wood County with my sister, Mona Lisa, back in October. I am a precious mix of Great Pyrenees and what is thought to be Airdale or Terrier based on my cute whiskery face and pyr feet. My birthdate is in August 2010. My sister and I both love our crate but we also love to run around and play with my sister and my foster mom's labs. It would be wonderful if my sister and I could be adopted together, and go to a place with kids and some land to run around. If that can't happen then I think we would both be wonderful pets for any loving family. Gotta go play now! Aloha, Mauna Kea

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mauna Kea, a Kyle Great Pyrenees/Airedale Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Airedale Terrier for sale in Kyle, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Airedale Terrier puppy from a breeder in Kyle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Kyle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Kyle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Airedale Terrier breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Airedale Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Kyle paves the way for another one to be saved.
