My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my name is Ziggy and I am a Moluccan Cockatoo. My age and sex are uncertain, but the people at Beak n Wings think I am a male. I can't tell you too much about my early life, but I came to Beak n Wings in 2009. At some point in the past I was stressed and plucked my chest feathers. Even though my situation is no longer so stressful, my feathers haven't come back. I was adopted by a very nice man who loved me very much, but he developed a severe allergy to my feathers. We were both very sad that I had to leave. I am settling into my new foster home well. I am a friendly, social bird who needs to be around people. I prefer to step up onto an arm, rather than a hand, but I do step up. I also like to come down on the floor to come find you. I am looking for a loving home with someone who can handle a big bird. I eat pellets, fruit and veggies and nuts for treats. I will be ready for adoption again after 1/14/17. The adoption fee for Ziggy is $600.
